There is a limit of 3 team members per event, so in some cases we may need a try out. Tryouts will be open to any interested second through fourth grade student. Students will be allowed to try out for more than one event; however, they may compete in only one event. Parents will be notified if their child is chosen to participate in the districts UIL competition.
Each elementary school chooses the events in which they will participate. Schools don't necessarily participate in every event.
Interested students will need to return their signed permission form by September 20.
The teams will usually be coached at South Knoll during the school day, with some limited exceptions. The UIL competition will be held during the regular school day in January. Thank you for encouraging your child to be a part of the UIL teams!
This year's UIL Meet will be held at Grace Bible Church across from A&M Consolidated High School, 1901 Harvey Mitchell Parkway, on January 18, 2018. Participating students are transported by bus to the UIL Meet during the school day to compete in their individual event. They arrive back at their campus before dismissal time.
Both students and parents are invited to the Awards Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church.
